Last week we did closet concierge—one of my favorite things to do. And the comments kind of blew me away. Everyone had such good suggestions! This is something that’s really nice about being in community with people—you can find out what works for someone else with your particular clothing concerns.

My friend put me on to a local coffee shop making an iced beverage that is now essential to my wellbeing. Donut also essential to my wellbeingIt’s a matcha tonic—tonic water, matcha, and cherry syrup. I remember matcha being ubiquitous like ten years ago, but apparently its popularity has skyrocketed recently—maybe thanks to MatchaTok? According to the p…

At the start of 2025 I said I would track my clothing purchases and I am living to regret this commitment! But that’s part of the process, right? Seeing how much new stuff I am acquiring and staying present with whatever comes up? I hope so. You can find all my previous posts about this here. After the paywall…The most shopping I’ve done this year, and the FEELINGS it brought up. An interesting pattern I’m noticing in my spending. What I bought, what I’m keeping, what I’m returning.

We haven’t done a concierge in a while and I thought now would be a good time as the weather is warming up!If you’re new to the concierge concept, it’s quite simple: Leave a comment describing something you’re looking for.

I rarely get to see clothes modeled on people my size. I understand why brands can’t always do this, AND seeing how clothes fit before buying them is really helpful. It’s hard to take the leap to buy something—especially something from a smaller brand, something more expensive and harder to return—when you have no idea how it will fit. You can check out my previous try on of Nettle Studios denim here. Are breezy co-ord sets as irresistible to you as they are to me?

On Friday I had what I hope will be my second-to-last stomach tattoo appointment (pictures soon???) so I am once again feeling like someone recently tried to scratch their way into my inner organs. When I was previously complaining about the discomfort of a waistband over an open wound, someone suggested wearing a jumpsuit, which kind of made me wonder… what happened to jumpsuits? Are jumpsuits out of style? Am I imagining this? I know I used to have some, but I never wear them anymore.

I live in a regular house. Its not big (less than 1200 square feet) and it’s pretty old (built in the 1920s). It’s definitely not going to get me featured in Domino or any other aspirational home magazine, but I’m incredibly grateful to live in the house that I do and I try not to take it for granted. It’s a comfortable place to live. If you’ve read my last few newsletters, you’re probably picking upon atheme… I’ve been thinking so much lately about feeling comfortable and at ease.

Recently, I fell in love with an adorable striped sweater on the internet. The sweater was knit from grey and blue cotton, with a boxy shape and slightly cropped sleeves. It had a nubbly texture that made it look soft and sturdy and sophisticated, but also the right texture for hiding stains and crumbs. It had big, chunky wooden buttons. Buttons that looked like… well, they looked like some kind of Montessori toy! Like they were made of birch plywood?
