    WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) – Multiple arrests were made after a drug bust on Thursday in Waterbury. According to police, multiple arrest warrants were executed as part of a long-term narcotics investigation. During the searches, police were able to recover six firearms, over a kilo of cocaine, 1300 bags of heroin and over 140 grams of raw heroin.

    PUTNAM, Conn. (WTNH) – A driver was arrested after they crashed into a utility pole Thursday night in Putnam. According to state police, troopers responded to the crash just after 10 p.m. on Fox Road. No injuries were reported after the crash. During an investigation, police learned that the driver of the vehicle was suspected of driving under the influence and was taken into custody. No further information has been released at this time.     SUFFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) – A correctional officer has been charged after an alleged assault on an inmate in August 2023 at MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institute. According to the police report, on August 12, 2023, correctional officers responded to a “Code Blue,” which is when there is a physical altercation between inmates. After officers watched the video footage of the incident, they were able to determine one of the inmates that was involved.
