Missing child rescued in Jay

JAY-- A two-year old child has been reunited with her family thanks to a game warden and his trusty canine partner. Authorities were called to a home on Trip Lane in Jay Tuesday afternoon after the little girl vanished. The toddler and her mother were doing chores outside when the mom realized the child was missing around 11:00. Multiple agencies responded to help in the search including local police and fire crews.

Man arrested for shooting gun along road in Benton

BENTON--A man is facing charges after being accused of firing a gun toward homes in Benton. The Department of Public Safety says it was called to the Unity road in Benton around 11:30 Tuesday morning. They had received calls that a man was walking down the road and recklessly firing a pistol. Troopers quickly found 32-year old Joseph Costa and transported him to a hospital for evaluation.
Exeter mobile home destroyed by fire

EXETER--Emergency crews from several communities were called to the scene of a bad fire in Exeter. The call for help went out just after 6:30 Monday night. The first crews on the scene discovered a mobile home on the Stetson road was fully engulfed in flames. The roadway was shut down as fire crews worked to bring water to the scene. A small army of forty fire fighters from neighboring towns all joined the attack. There are no injuries reported and it's still unclear what started the fire.

PORTLAND- -Another candidate is emerging to become Maine's next governor. Bobby Charles is a 64-year old lawyer who announced his candidacy on Tuesday. Charles grew up in the town of Wayne and once worked for President George W. Bush on programs focused on fighting drug trafficking. A republican, he says he'll use those skills in Maine. Education and financial responsibility are also issues important to him.
Truck rollover closes I-95 northbound

PITTSFIELD- -Authorities have been working to remove a tractor trailer truck that rolled over on interstate 95. It happened just before 10:00 Sunday night in the northbound lanes in Pittsfield. The Department of Public Safety says it appears the driver was traveling too close to the shoulder in the one lane construction zone. The driver was hauling a flatbed trailer with a load of construction supplies when it rolled over.

It has been working to support members of the homeless community with everything from clothing and food to a warming shelter. But it can't do the work without help from volunteers. Members of the church appeared on Good Morning Maine to talk about its mission and how the public can help.

This Pullitzer Prize and Tony Award winning masterpiece tells the story of a group of artists struggling to create a life amidst the HIV/AIDS epidemic. It will be offered at the theater located in the Bangor Mall from April 17-27. Actor Dan Perkins appeared on Good Morning Maine to talk about the production.
