🔵 Chelsea were very good with 10 men. Got bodies in midfield & controlled the game. What they needed was a striker, but he was in the dressing-room. Caicedo was excellent. Neto busy but no end product. As for Palmer, OK, but still way short of early season star.

🔥 Newcastle's start was faster than anything they've produced this season (& it's a competitive field). The noise & intensity blew Chelsea away. They scored & eventually faded, which is why Jackson's red card was so brainless, his side were just starting to get back into it.

It's mindless, Jackson looks at Botman before he lands elbow on him. Gave officials no choice.

Newcastle have dominated but you suspect they can't maintain this intensity for 90mins, especially given heat. They could do with a 2nd while in control.
