Siemens Gamesa has moved to boost the wind power supply chain in Japan through a pair of newly signed agreements. It signed a memorandum of understanding with electronics components supplier TDK Corporation in a bid to secure magnets for wind turbines in Japan. Permanent magnets are often used in wind turbine generators. Siemens Gamesa has no wind power manufacturing facilities in Japan.
