    Andrés Cano is the new Pima County Supervisor for District 5. Supervisors chose Cano to replace Adelita Grijalva who resigned from the board to run for Congressional District 7, which is vacant because of the death of her father Raúl Grijalva. Cano was a staff member of former District 5 Supervisor Richard Elias. He was elected three times to the Arizona House and became part of the Democratic leadership there.

    TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — A man charged with killing an Arizona State Senate candidate in an alleged drunk driving incident has rejected a plea deal. Michael Creel is facing second degree murder charges in the death of John McLean. There was still no winner declared in John McLean’s race for State Senate when a traffic wreck claimed his life November 15th. Days later the final vote count showed his opponent won the seat.

(KGUN) — The Trump Administration took another step Tuesday designed to get immigrants to leave the U.S. The administration says migrants who were allowed to legally be in the country are here illegally now. Under the Biden Administration, hundreds of thousands of migrants were legally allowed into this country if immigration officers decided they had a real credible fear of being in danger if they were forced to go back to their home countries. That was called parole.
