Give us a potted history of the band The band started in October ’21. Initially a name and an Instagram account, which I could use as a form of very honest expression while I developed the concept of the project. My mission then was to give my emotional pain a sense of purpose. So I decided to turn it into music. I spent a long time writing, then started recording and getting to open to open mics while I established myself, and began playing solo acoustic.

New York-based artist The Bones of J.R. Jones has shared his new single ‘Shameless‘, the latest offering from his sixth studio album ‘Radio Waves’, due out June 20th via Tone Tree Music. The brooding new song arrives with a neo-noir-inspired music video, produced by Blackhorse Lowe (Reservation Dogs) and Bryan Norvelle with Anora Cinematographer Drew Daniels as Director of Photography, and tells the story of a lover’s betrayal.

London based punks Burnt Tapes have announced their second album ‘New Lungs’, which is due out August 8th via Wiretap Records / Lockjaw Records and Nasty Cut Records. The first single from the new album, ‘Mothersguilt’ is out now. ‘Mothersguilt’ paints a vivid picture of internal struggle, pressure, and disillusionment, dealing with themes of mental exhaustion, self-doubt, the weight of society’s expectations, and the failure to meet those expectations.

Self Esteem, AKA Rebecca Lucy Taylor, has released her new single ‘If Not Now, It’s Soon,’ which debuted as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record and is available to stream and download now, alongside a video by regular collaborator Piers Dennis. ‘If Not Now It’s Soon’ was partly inspired by Taylor’s years before her rise to fame – a time of hypersexuality, booze and self-destruction that precipitated the creation of Self Esteem.
