The San Francisco AIDS Foundation has announced plans to open a full-service pharmacy at Strut, its health and wellness center at 470 Castro Street in the LGBTQ neighborhood. According to a news release, the pharmacy is expected to open in the first half of this year.

Iowayna PeΓ±a, a former co-chair of the Alice B. Toklas LGBTQ Democratic Club, has been named director of San Francisco Workforce Development. The workforce division falls under the city's Office of Economic and Workforce Development and its executive director, Sarah Dennis Phillips, made the announcement January 7.

After two town hall meetings were held last fall, the recently formed San Francisco Dyke March interim steering committee has announced a third town hall will be held on Zoom Wednesday, January 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. The meeting is free but participants will need a ticket, according to an email announcement. The Dyke March did not officially take place last year; traditionally, it is held the Saturday evening prior to the Pride parade in June.

Two new National Historic Landmarks honor the LGBTQ community. Both are located in Washington, D.C. and were announced in December by Interior Secretary Deb Haaland. They are part of 19 new NHLs that are nationally significant properties that reflect the importance of sites in sharing America's diverse history, according to a news release from the National Park Service, which is under the Interior Department's jurisdiction.
