The Franklin County Board of Elections denied a protest against Tiara Ross' candidacy for Columbus City Council. The board voted Monday afternoon to deny the challenge brought by D.J. Byrnes, who runs the political blog "The Rooster." Byrnes contended Ross didn't live in Columbus for at least one year prior to the May 6 primary election, as required by Columbus' city charter. Ross provided WOSU with a copy of her apartment lease last month.

Does the $30 million-plus buyout matter to Ohio State? If Day has lost the fanbase—and it sure looks like he has, for now—how much does that bind the OSU brass to get rid of him?

Well… it’s finally here. The most consequential election of our lives… until the next one. I think it will be a good day for our side for reasons that I laid out in yesterday’s dispatch. But remember: These are only one deranged man’s predictions, and I only play an infallible genius in the pages of this humble operation. Please vote today if you haven’t already done so.
