Soul Dining chef Daero Lee recalls grabbing after-class snacks at a stationery stall near school. “My favourite was tteokkochi,” he says. These savoury skewers – a cross between a tteokbokki recipe and Korean fried chicken – are sweetened with a ketchup-powered sauce.
