Donegal 1-10 Wicklow 1-11Donegal suffered a second defeat in as many games in the Christy Ring Cup as they lost by a point to 14-man Wicklow in O’Donnell Park. In a low scoring affair, Donegal led by 0-6 to 0-5 at the break, four coming from Gerard Gilmore and one each from Declan Coulter and Ruairi Campbell, but they had eight wides at half-time.

Finn Harps 4 Kerry 2A second half brace from Dara McGuinness saw Finn Harps come from behind in the second half to defeat Kerry in Finn Park. In his first game on the touch line, Kevin McHugh’s side took the lead after great work from Gavin Hodgins on the right to beat Sean O’Connell before being taken down in the box, and via the post, Hodgins fired into the bottom right corner.

BY CHRIS ASHMOREIt was a case of double celebrations for many of the Glenea United camp over the weekend, beginning with a wedding and ending with a Donegal Junior League Division One title. And afterwards, Glenea manager Sean Coll paid tribute to his players. On Friday, many of the squad were in attendance as regular goalkeeper Shaun McClafferty married his fiancé Niamh – and it was a late night for some.

Wexford 2 Finn Harps 2A late Wexford equaliser denied Finn Harps another win on the road in Ferrycarrig Park on Friday night. The away side were on top in the first half but Wexford went into the lead on ten minutes as Calum Flynn’s cross from the left found Mikie Rowe who sent the ball into the far corner as they led at the break. But as Tony McNamee found Dara McGuinness on the counter, the Harps levelled the game on 50 minutes as the striker struck low in off the far post.
