CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — A medicine that rapidly reverses an opioid overdose is readily available to West Virginians. Naloxone is accessible in all 55 counties across West Virginia, according to the Office of Drug Control Policy. Naloxone, commonly known under the brand name Narcan, is an opioid antagonist. It attaches to opioid receptors, reversing and blocking the effects of other opioids.

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — The new pickleball courts at Veterans Memorial Park are expected to open for public use in the next few weeks, according to Superintendent of City Parks Doug Comer. Work on the $450,000-$480,000 construction project got underway at the beginning of April, but that has been impeded by poor weather conditions, Comer said. “Unfortunately, weather hampered us in the spring, with all the rainy days and whatnot,” he said.

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — Relief from the heat and humidity may be heading for West Virginia. Hurricane Debby, combined with a cold front moving in from the north, is expected to bring cooler weather later in the week, according to Tom Kines, a senior meteorologist with AccuWeather. "I suspect there are going to be days coming up and later in the week where high temperatures are in high 70s," he said.
