    (CNN) — A Claude Monet pastel painting stolen by Nazis from a Jewish family during World War II, which vanished for decades only to show up with a Louisiana art dealer, was returned Wednesday in New Orleans to the descendants of its original owners. “Bord de Mer” was one of Monet’s early works and valued at over $500,000 by a Houston gallery that had put it up for auction. It had vanished for decades, and the FBI began investigating the pastel painting when it was listed for sale.

    New York (CNN) — Several hundred “underperforming” 7-Eleven locations across North America are closing, the convenience store announced. Seven & I Holdings, the chain’s Japan-based parent company, revealed in an earnings report Thursday that 444 locations of 7-Eleven are shutting down because of a variety of issues, including slowing sales, declining traffic, inflationary pressures and a decrease in cigarette purchases. A specific list of closing locations wasn’t immediately released.

    WATERTOWN, MASS. (WHDH) - Crews rescued one person Friday after a fire broke out in a Watertown home, the city’s fire chief said. The fire happened on Windsor Avenue near 8:30 a.m. Speaking at the scene, Fire Chief Ryan Nicholson said residents in a first floor apartment first called 911 after they heard their second floor neighbors’ smoke alarm and spotted smoke coming from their door. Firefighters responded and rescued a resident from the second floor. Crews then extinguished the fire.

    AMHERST, N.H. (WHDH) - Newly released video shows the moment a police officer was injured while responding to a crash in Amherst, New Hampshire Thursday. The initial crash happened at 9:30 a.m. on Route 101 A near Veterans Road. A vehicle rolled over and caused wires to hang low across the road, according to Amherst police. Police in a statement said several officers responded and began the process of shutting down the road.
