The Fall 2024 batch will begin in San Francisco on Sunday, 9/29, and Demo Day will be in early December. But what is ZIRP? ZIRP stands for “Zero Interest Rate Phenomenon,” and it refers to a stretch of time — most recently throughout the pandemic — in which the Federal Reserve sets interest rates around 0% and commercial banks are able to borrow money for next-to-nothing.

While adding in-app subscriptions to an iOS application, RevenueCat’s co-founders realized they were spending a ton of time building out the behind-the-scenes plumbing. It was necessary work, but it meant way less time for the features they actually wanted to create.
