    NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A New Haven federal grand jury returned an indictment Wednesday charging a 31-year-old woman from China with escape from the custody of the Attorney General. Xiaoqin Yan has been federally charged, according to a release on Friday from the Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut. The indictment claims that Yan escaped from the Federal Satellite Low facility at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury on Dec. 10, 2024.
