    ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Rochester police have arrested a man after he was allegedly seen wounded and waving a gun on North Clinton Avenue. According to police, officers responded to North Clinton Avenue around 8:30 a.m. for the report of a man waving a handgun before limping away where the roadway intersected with Clifford Avenue. Police said officers later found a 34-year-old man walking on Oakman Street and attempted to stop him, but he immediately ran away and allegedly dropped a handgun.

Prosecutors said between March 1, 2020, and July 23, 2024, 46-year-old Zina Amba Mbile operated the Beni Food convenience store on Dewey Avenue in Rochester, and accepted SNAP benefits from customers in exchange for non-food items such as cosmetic products. SNAP uses federal tax dollars to help low-income individuals purchase food.
