ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A former JV coach of the Brockport Central School District has been sentenced after having sexual contact with a student. Anne Collins has been sentenced to six months in the Monroe County Jail and 10 years of sex offender probation. She has been registered as a sex offender, and an order of protection was issued. Collins had sexual contact with a 15-year-old girl on her team off of school grounds.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Irondequoit Town Board will hold a public meeting Tuesday evening as Town Supervisor Andrae Evans faces legal trouble. This comes not long after the Monroe County DA’s Office filed a petition to remove Evans from his position. The court date for that is set for Monday, October 20. He is currently facing allegations of sexual harassment, retaliation against an employee, and putting employees in uncomfortable positions.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Roberts Wesleyan University will be launching a women’s flag football program. The program, set to begin in the spring of 2026, will consist of five to ten games against other NCAA collegiate programs. Athletic scholarships and practice will begin this fall before the first competitive season. A head coach has not been decided yet, but the university will announce one in the coming months.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — One of the suspects involved in a kidnapping at a Henrietta hotel has been sentenced. Cordell Brooks has been sentenced to nine years and five years of probation. He pleaded guilty last December to aiding and abetting in a kidnapping. In July 2023, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office obtained surveillance video that showed Brooks and Shuntiayana Sims dragging a woman out of the Microtel on Lehigh Station Road.
