According to police, 19-year-old Delwin Aponte-Charbonier arrived at Rochester General Hospital in a private vehicle on May 31, and was suffering from at least one gunshot wound to his upper body. Aponte-Charbonier was later pronounced dead despite medical efforts.

According to prosecutors, New York State Police received a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a person living in Rochester uploaded an image of child pornography from the internet. Prosecutors said an investigation traced the images to Kevin Burns, 45, who was a teacher employed by a school in Monroe County.
