We made it through the storm, and what a snowy blast it was! The first significant snowfall in the DMV in several years didn’t disappoint, with DC’s official total coming in at 7.2″. Elsewhere, higher totals in the 8-11″ range were observed along and south of the city in Northern VA and southern MD. Crews have had time to clear some of the roads in the region today, thanks to the return of sunny skies. This sunshine should help melt some of what’s out there despite the cold and windy conditions.

Unlike the last few heavier rain events that had thunderstorms associated with them, tomorrow's event is mostly just heavy, consistent rain. A storm or two will be possible, but repetitive rounds of heavy rain is what we'll be most concerned about, especially just west of DC. https://t.co/VIMxpktPkE
