After two days of sunshine to start the week, cloud cover returns to Connecticut on Wednesday as a storm system nears the area. Despite the cloud cover, temperatures will warm into the seasonable 70s for many inland towns, while the shoreline will stay in the 60s due to a sea breeze. The daytime hours will likely stay rain-free thanks to dry air in place across the state.

Several billion years ago, in the chaotic mess of a developing star system, two stars formed in tandem with each other, positioning themselves perfectly to be observed from a distant planet called Earth many years later. A new Yale study has identified nearly 600 of these twin systems that are aligned in an "edge-on" configuration, opening the door to new research on exoplanets and the stars that host them.
