Members of the Chenango County Sheriff's Office report that they have arrested Richard M. Karl Jr. of Johnson City, a 56-year-old teacher at Greene High School, following an investigation into allegations of child endangerment and official misconduct. The arrest comes after a report was filed with the Sheriff's Office regarding a teacher having an inappropriate relationship with a student. The allegations involve incidents that occurred throughout 2024 and 2025.

It is time for the tradition unlike any other as the 89th playing of the Masters is now underway. There are no other golf courses that compare to Augusta National. It is such an awesome golf course and it's where the great golfers become even greater. Come the back nine on Sunday and Amen Corner, I hope we get yet another competitive round and Masters finish in the quest for a Green Jacket.

The RPI Men's Hockey team announced on Tuesday afternoon that they hired Eric Lang to be their next head coach. He will take over for Dave Smith who was a great coach and an even better person. Athletic director Dr Kristie Bowers made a good hire on paper and wants to get back to consistently winning in the ECAC. Fans will be ready to pack the Houston Field House this coming season in what should be a fun season.

I am very much looking forward to the 2025 UAlbany football season under new "Interim" head coach Jared Ambrose. I was at spring practice on Wednesday afternoon and I was very impressed. Jared is a very likeable guy and a very proven and terrific offensive coordinator. He has total control of the team and his coaches. The MLB season has just gotten underway and there are already storylines coming out of the New York Yankees organization. They are using these "torpedo bats" which is basically a fatter barrel in the sweet spot of the bat. They mashed an incredible nine homeruns in one game and over ten in their opening series win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Now those impressive numbers won't last. But this has now become a national story which is good for the MLB because any publicity is good publicity.
