Thanks to Joan in Billings for the tip. She was flipping through the channels Monday afternoon and there was former Democrat Senator Jon Tester (D-MT). They just announced his new gig. "I was switching news channels at 2 pm today, and low and behold, Nicole Wallace introduced Jon as MSNBC's new contributor. Color me shocked!! One of our radio listeners tells us there was a big griz spotted low at Carbella last night. Speaking of grizzly bears, the Montana Farm Bureau says now is the time to speak up. First, here's the note I got from one of our radio listeners south of Livingston, Montana:Basically there was a big grizzly bear walking low at Carbella last night. It was apparently on the Dome Mountain Ranch, not far from a Bureau of Land Management campground by Carbella Bridge, just downriver of Yankee Jim Canyon.

Coal miners south of Roundup are typically digging that beautiful clean coal out of the ground, but this week- they broke ground on a new indoor ice arena in Billings, Montana. Back in November, we first told you how Signal Peak Energy, which operates the Bull Mountains Mine south of Roundup, was donating $6 million to get a new indoor ice arena up and running for Billings area hockey fans.

"Go west young man, haven't you been told?" That's a line from a great Toby Keith song. Maybe it's also a line that will soon be told to employees at the US Department of Agriculture. It was great to catch up with former acting Bureau of Land Management Director William Perry Pendley. He served in President Trump's first term. One of the great things Team Trump did back then was move a bunch of federal employees out of Washington, D.C. and out to the West. It worked. So why not do more of that?
