    A little bit of Mexico arrived Friday in New Wilmington. Passers-by could see the La Palma Mexican Food Truck parked outside the Market Street entrance of Shenango on the Green. It’s appearance capped a week of Older Americans Week celebration at the Presbyterian SeniorCare facility. “We do this every year in May during Older Americans Month,” explained Scot Henry, the director in charge of the observance. “We celebrate our team members, and we do a week-long series of special events.

    Used book saleIf you’re going ... Call it Chapter 30. A long story about a book sale that began three decades ago in a now-defunct church on the city’s East Side continues next month in Neshannock Township. It’s Northminster Presbyterian’s used book sale, which marks its 30th anniversary June 5 to 7. The event annually offers tens of thousands of books, as well as puzzles and games, as a fundraiser for the church’s Missions Committee.
