Weeks after firing meteorologist Mark Johnson, Beacon Journal news partner News 5 Cleveland (WEWS) is adding a member to its weather team. Frank Marzullo, a former meteorologist at Fox19 in Cincinnati, announced on his Facebook page that he was taking a part-time job at WEWS. Marzullo is originally from Cleveland.

At long last, some good news for popular Cleveland television anchor Wayne Dawson. It was announced on May 21 that the Fox 8 host is now cancer-free. “After 34 rounds of radiation and three rounds of very difficult chemotherapy, I have been declared cancer-free,” Dawson said in a video posted to his Facebook page. Dawson was diagnosed with oral cancer in May 2024.
