    What a weekend it was. The boys and girls state basketball champions were crowned at four different venues throughout Colorado. During the four-day stretch of games, there were first-time state champions (University and Resurrection Christian girls) along with a championship drought of over a century (Windsor boys) coming to an end.     The time is done for being defensive. That’s the approach that the Montrose wrestling team has tried to grasp. Coach Neil Samples saw that mentality take hold for the first time at the Gunnison Cowboy Invite. Although missing a few wrestlers due to illness, this was the most complete the Red Hawks roster has been all season. They scored 128.5 points to finish eighth, but the big takeaway was that the wrestlers weren’t taking a defensive approach into the matches. They went on offense.
