COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Earlier this week the Colorado Avalanche loaned their captain, Gabriel Landeskog to the Colorado Eagles on a conditioning assignment. After days of skating with the AHL team, both the Eagles and Avs announced Friday afternoon, Landeskog will play tonight. The last time he played in a game was when the Avs won the Stanley Cup in June of 2022. This is a massive step in the right direction following his knee cartilage replacement surgery.

Her journey to finding success in the pool is unique. “I’m an accidental athlete. I was injured in Iraq in 2010,″ said Marks. At 17-years old, she joined the Army. “I had a lot of people who served in my life and I wanted to follow in those footsteps and see what that life looked like for me,” Marks says.

(KKTV) - Growing up in Kenya, running was the obvious choice of sport, for kids like Leonard Korir. “In Kenya we have a lot of runners so growing up you’d see them training running around the village, so as you grow up you see the runners running you want to be a runner like them,” said Korir. Korir, made his way to the United States on a track and cross country scholarship where he competed for Iona College, and had a lot of success, winning two NCAA titles.

(KKTV) - Kamal Bey grew up in Illinois, and by the age of three, he was introduced to the sport that would eventually, take him all the way. ”I learned how to throw before i learned how to shoot,” said Bey. As just a toddler, Greco-Roman was the first style of wrestling he ever learned. “You don’t touch legs a lot of upper body moves techniques is more spaced out you can dance on the matt. Greco is like you’re in a phone booth tying to fight a guy its great,” Bey said.
