In a banquet room decorated for Christmas, a group of coaches' kids were entertained by Santa Claus. There were awesome presents for the Michigan football team - high-end swag, including commemorative watches. John Spytek, though, wasn't feeling very festive. He wouldn't be playing in the game.

DES PLAINES, Ill. - They came in droves to say goodbye to the daughter of George Halas, the matriarch of the Chicago Bears, Mrs. McCaskey to all who were not kin. The wake for Virginia Halas McCaskey was open to the public on Tuesday, and there were so many mourners that they had to park a block away at Mystic Waters Family Aquatic Center. @danpompei Fantastic chronological article on the relationship and bond with @TomBrady and Spy through Michigan to the Bucs and now in LV. Hard work always pays off, and it never discriminates. Take care of the work and it will eventually take care of you. https://t.co/B8znsFzpls
