The Federal Aviation Administration and Fort Worth-based American Airlines are confirming that a flight aborted its landing Saturday afternoon at Reagan National Airport in Arlington, Virginia, because another plane was on the runway as it was nearing a landing on Runway 19. American flight 4431 from Buffalo was over Gravely Point at about 340 feet when air traffic controllers waived off the landing because another aircraft was still on the runway and they determined the separation was too tight.

The Theodore Roosevelt Bridge that connects D.C. to Northern Virginia is set to get a $127 million upgrade beginning next week. The renovation project will take an estimated three and a half years, but D.C. Department of Transportation officials are hoping to minimize the traffic impact. The 60-year-old bridge carries nearly 95,000 vehicles a day and functions as a key point of entry and exit in and out of the city.

It involves a person claiming to be a Humane Rescue Alliance employee or a veterinarian saying they have found your missing pet. But there’s a big catch. People who have lost a pet will often post signs, go on social media or put their personal information on websites to do nearly everything to find a missing dog or cat. And the scammers know you’re vulnerable.
