College Football 26 news is coming hard and fast with a few weeks before its highly anticipated release date. Last week, EA Sports showed off the new features in its gameplay. Two new deep dives have come out over the past two days. It started with presentation updates that included new pregame rituals, such as Florida State running out with Osceola planting a flaming spear. It also showed off a host of new mascots, highlighted by the insane edible mascots from the Pop-Tarts Bowl.

Jacksonville billionaire Patrick Zalupski is "in advanced talks" to buy the Tampa Bay Rays. Memphis hedge fund manager Trip Miller also has reportedly submitted a bid. The Rays' future has been in doubt since Hurricane Milton tore the roof off Tropicana Field in October 2024. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred has said previously he wants the Rays to remain in the Tampa area. The Tampa Bay Rays are in the process of selling the team to a group led by a Jacksonville billionaire.
