Austria deservedly edged a five-goal thriller against the Netherlands to qualify for the last 16 of Euro 2024 as Group D winners. Ralf Rangnick's well-organised and impressive side were twice pegged back in an entertaining contest in Berlin but Sabitzer had the final say 10 minutes from time. A Donyell Malen own goal gave Austria an early lead with Romano Schmid putting them back in front after a Cody Gakpo leveller.

Substitute Yoane Wissa scored a 95th-minute winner as Brentford beat Bournemouth 2-1 in a thrilling, VAR-dominated contest at the Vitality Stadium. It's no coincidence that Bournemouth's impressive turnaround under Andoni Iraola has coincided with a positional change for midfielder Ryan Christie. Christie, who usually operates as a No 10, was deployed in a deeper role during a 2-0 victory over Newcastle before the November international break and has remained there ever since, proving instrumental in a run that has seen Bournemouth win six of their last eight Premier League games.
