The Warriors got over the Play-In Tournament hump with a win over the Grizzlies on Tuesday, winning for the first time in four tries as a play-in team. Klay Thompson is hoping to get over the hump himself on Wednesday night. Thompson wasn't healthy when the Warriors suffered a pair of play-in losses in 2021, but he was on the court for Golden State's blowout loss to the Kings in 2024, struggling mightily as the Warriors' season came to a crashing halt.

In fact, the player many consider to be the top overall talent plays on both sides of the ball. There's no questioning the playoff credentials of the Warriors in the Steve Kerr era. Golden State has four championships under its belt with Kerr and Stephen Curry, the most recent coming in 2022. The Play-In Tournament has proven to be an entirely different experience for the Warriors. After struggles in 2021 and 2024 kept Golden State out of the playoffs entirely, the Warriors are hoping 2025 brings better luck.
