When it comes to presidential politics, Americans don’t even care about who’s qualified. It comes down to who’s emotionally connecting. That’s it. And connect he did. Trump connected more clearly with simple messages. Sure, he had no plan for delivering on any of them — but he didn’t have to. He just had to make people feel good.
