Jonathan Anderson announced that he will be taking over womenswear and couture at Dior today, becoming the first sole creative director at the Parisian house since Dior himself. The Irish designer will be making his debut for Men’s Paris Fashion Week, on June 27th (we don’t have to wait that long). His first womenswear show will be in October. The announcement followed Maria Grazia Chiuri stepping down from her nine-year tenure as womenswear and couture CD role last week.

Dior presented its Cruise ‘26 collection in Rome last night, and icl we’ve seen these blindfolds before. Creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s show was an homage to her birthplace, Rome. Her collection was inspired by the city and its influence in fashion – 1950s dolce vita, Cinecittà films, and 20th century socialite and patron of the arts, Mimi Pecci-Blunt (Chiuri and her daughter Rachele have actually just restored her old theatre, Teatro della Cometa).

Balenciaga finally announced its new creative director last week – Pierpaolo Piccioli (formerly CD at Valentino) will be succeeding Demna in July. Under Demna, the Parisian house came strong with oversized silhouettes in bombers, hoodies and sneakers, a major streetwear focus, and commentary on culture. But looks like there’s a vibeshift incoming: the legendary couture house won’t be going down the casual route for long. Pierpaolo will do a 180º, for sure.

We headed down to London’s Protein Studios last night, to check out Mercedes-Benz’s new collaboration with Stockholm-based artist Gustaf Westman. The architect-turned-designer, who’s known for his colourful Memphis Group-meets-Scandinavian style in furniture and homeware, showed off his bubble-pink take on the new Mercedes-Benz CLA, which was all about camping with friends.

Balenciaga just released its new collab with Italian sports-car manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini, and icl it’s bringing the heat. First unveiled as part of the Fall ‘25 collection (the iPhone-shot campaign), the speedy linkup features ready-to-wear, leather goods, jewellery and accessories, including oversized bombers, serious cropped racing jackets, T-shirts, hoodies, and trompe-l’oeil shirts with artwork of the new, 2025 Lamborghini Temerario.
