The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWAST) said its Corporate Support Services had to save £5 million in 2025.

A Swindon man damaged a neighbour's CCTV camera. (Image: Anthony Baggett) A frustrated Swindon man smashed his neighbour's CCTV camera because he thought it was pointing at his garden. David Wexlar, of Avebury Road in Penhill, appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court on Wednesday. The 50-year-old pleaded guilty to one count of criminal damage, which related to £129 of damage caused to a woman's CCTV camera on February 16, 2025.

7 1/1 Children all over Swindon got into the swing of VE Day anniversary celebrations. Year 4, 5, and 6 pupils from Orchid Vale Primary School performed a 1940s-inspired dance which was choreographed by Emily Heath from Fusion Dance. The whole school marked the historic occasion with a picnic and children also enjoyed a sing-along to 1940's music.
