A Donegal man has raised €32,000 for the Donegal Hospice, after his amazing Camino journey. Milford man Garret Wilson took on the challenge of walking 260 kilometers from the Portuguese capital of Porto to the historic Santiago de Compostela – the route of the Camino Portugues. He took on the challenge in the final week of April along with his friend Gary Ryan, in memory of Garret’s late father, John Wilson.

A Donegal-based group calling for the end of the ongoing genocide in Palestine has labelled two of the county’s TDs as “out of touch”. It’s after a Sinn Fein bill calling for an end of Ireland’s involvement in selling Israeli war bonds was voted down by Fine Gael and Fianna Fail TDs in the Dail this week. Donegal County Council was one of many bodies nationwide that expressed support for the bill, the Council’s members unanimously voting in favour of the end of Ireland’s involvement of such sales.

Former WRC driver Kris Meeke has withdrawn from the upcoming Donegal International Rally. A five-time WRC winner and former Intercontinental Rally Champion, Meeke was set to be one of the biggest names on Donegal’s stages this June. However yesterday he announced that he would be withdrawing his entry following an injury to his co-driver, Brian Hoy. Hoy was injured along with popular Irish rally driver Garry Jennings in a crash at last weekend’s Cavan Stages Rally.

That said, the housing reform bills Cohen introduced in his speech hold real promise, and Baltimoreans should take notice.
