Callum Devine has strengthened his lead of the 2025 Donegal International Rally after two of his biggest competitors had incidents on the final two stages of the day. After a rapid day’s running, William Creighton had ate almost fully into Devine’s lead – being 4.9 seconds back after Stage 12 and the first run through Knockalla and Garrygort.

Callum Devine remains in the lead of the 2025 Donegal International Rally – but his lead is now facing its biggest challenge since the opening stages of the rally. Down driver William Creighton has been on a tear during today’s running, having set the fastest stage time on four of today’s six stages so far – including on the latest stage, Garrygort. The ex-Junior WRC Champion in his Toyota Yaris R2 is now 4.9 seconds off of rally leader Devine in his Skoda Fabia R2.

The Donegal Ladies’ footballers have been knocked out of the All-Ireland Championship. They were defeated by Tipperary in this afternoon’s qualifier by 0-11 to 1-06, after being handed a difficult tie away from home. It marks a tough end to a season in which Donegal had reached the Ulster Final before defeat to Armagh. Tipperary notched the first four scores of the contest without reply, before Suzanne White knocked over two frees in quick succession.

Fermanagh’s Jon Armstrong has continued his comeback from mechanical issues on the first day of the 2025 Donegal International Rally. He posted the fastest time on this morning’s first stage on High Glen in his M-Sport supported Ford Fiesta R2, and has now jumped from fifth to second in the overall standings. Armstrong is now 17.3 seconds off of rally leader Callum Devine, who posted the second-fastest time on Stage 7 in his Skoda Fabia R2.
