    A charity motorcycle run for the Donegal Branch of Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus returns to the roads this May. The event, which attracts large numbers each year, will take place on Sunday 18th May, starting from Tobins Filling Station, Letterkenny at 12noon sharp. The event takes on a new route this year, touring to the coastline at Downings, onwards to Gortahork, Gweebarra, Glenties, Ballybofey and back to Letterkenny.

    Derry and Donegal doctors and healthcare workers will kick off a cycle/walk from Malin Head to Mizen Head this Saturday to raise money for medical aid for Gaza. The 18-strong group is also made up of people from all walks of life from the two counties, who will undertake the 6-day 690 km-long sponsored journey. In addition, they are holding a sponsored swim on Culdaff Beach in Inishowen, Co Donegal, on Sunday 18th May.

    Two educational projects in the Gaeltacht have been awarded funding support for building upgrades. €6,850 has been approved for Naíonra na mBeachóg, Mín Tine Dé, Ardara to provide shelter between the Naíonra and the school. €9,250 has been sanctioned for Coláiste Mhuire, Loughanure, to install windows on the building which serves as an Irish language college in the area during the summer.
