After taking a month to finish celebrating the national championship and return home following the end of the school year, UConn is set to return to campus for the start of the summer session. While the workouts over the next month effectively serve as a mini-camp, it’s still the first time the 2025-26 Huskies will take the court together. There’s usually some good info that comes out of the summer, even if it’s not anything groundbreaking. Still, there’s plenty to look forward to.

Before Tuesday, Paige Bueckers hadn’t won a game since capturing the national championship in her final contest at UConn. Bueckers and the Dallas Wings started the 2025 WNBA campaign 0-4 — as many losses as she experienced through her first two seasons with the Huskies combined. Turns out, she just needed to return to Connecticut to get back to her winning ways. On Tuesday, Bueckers secured her first professional victory by beating the Connecticut Sun 109-87 at Mohegan Sun Arena.
