PHILADELPHIA — All around The Union League of Philadelphia Thursday night, Penn State coaches, players and lettermen were deep in conversation with Nittany Lions fans. James Franklin worked the room. Guests made sure to introduce themselves to new defensive coordinator Jim Knowles. Cornerback Kenny Woseley Jr. and safety Vaboue Toure posed for photos. Everyone waited for Saquon Barkley to appear.

The Penn State basketball team continues to round out its roster this spring Wednesday. And for the second time this week, the Nittany Lions added to their Class of 2025. Boston (Mass.) Newman School guard Reggie Grodin announced his commitment to Penn State on social media Wednesday evening, making him the fifth member of the class headed to Happy Valley to play for coach Mike Rhoades. "Go B1G or Go Home," Grodin wrote on X under the graphic featuring his commitment announcement.

Philadelphia will be the center of the Penn State football universe Thursday night as collective Happy Valley United hosts the second "We Are… In Philly" event to boost the program's name, image and likeness (NIL) efforts. The event, which Happy Valley United announced Wednesday was sold out, is expected to host more than 400 guests at the Union League of Philadelphia in Center City.

In an 11-day span, the Nittany Lions addressed their two most glaring roster needs with the two best players available at those positions in the portal. On May 6, former North Carolina linebacker Amare Campbell committed to Penn State.
