Kirkby Platinum has applied to Westmorland and Furness Council to determine if prior approval is required to convert Moorland Stores on School Road in Kirkby-in-Furness into a ground-floor flat.

The Planning Inspectorate has dismissed an appeal from the Field Studies Centre to create seven additional caravan or motorhome pitches on an area of land to the north of Castle Head Field Study Centre in Grange.

Innova Renewables Developments Limited has submitted a planning application to Westmorland and Furness Council for a solar farm and energy storage system on land to the south of Riddings Lane in Gleaston, between Barrow and Ulverston.
