    Members of The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regimental Association (WSFRA) held a service in Gheluvelt Park this morning (June 1) to mark the 230th anniversary of ' The Glorious First of June', a sea battle between the UK and France in 1794. Four hundred soldiers from the 29th Regiment of Foot, the predecessor to WSFRA, took part in the battle and a number of them never returned.

RAF aerobatic team, the Red Arrows, have been flying to and from the Midlands Air Festival in Alcester (twice on Friday, May 30, once on May 31, and again on June 1). The next displays that the Red Arrows will be attending will be in the Isle of Man and at RAF Cosford.
