    United Airlines is cutting 35 flights a day from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) because of “long-simmering FAA challenges” that are causing chaos at the airport, CEO Scott Kirby announced on Friday. “United is committed to doing absolutely everything in our power to minimize the impact that this will have on customers, and so we are unilaterally canceling 35 roundtrip flights per day from our Newark schedule starting this weekend,” Kirby said in a message to United flyers on Friday.

    American Airlines is adding more warm-weather routes out of Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) for next winter, doubling its capacity to sun destinations from the hub. In total, American is adding five new destinations to the 11 it already serves in the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America out of O’Hare: Curaçao (CUR); St. Croix (STX); St. Maarten (SXM); Guatemala City (GUA); and San José, Costa Rica (SJO).     Air Canada is now offering free Wi-Fi to its passengers. The airline on Monday launched its new free Wi-Fi service through its ongoing partnership with Bell, making it available to all Aeroplan members flying across North America and to and from Sun destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean. It had announced plans for the addition late last year.
