Idaho Falls Police officers arrested six individuals and seized more than 10 pounds of methamphetamine on Friday. The arrests were made after the Teton County Sheriff's Office notified the Idaho Falls Police Department of a large amount of drugs making their way to Idaho Falls. Teton County deputies told the police that Jesus Zazuete Beltran of Victor was driving a white Toyota Camry and had the drugs with him.

The 7th Judicial District Magistrate Commission will convene to select two new magistrate judges due to Judge Michelle Mallard and Judge Steven Gardner resigning from their positions. Mallard's resignation is effective Nov. 30. Gardner's is effective Dec. 31. This commission will debate and choose the replacements for both on Dec. 8. with them hearing from the 14 candidates. Ten of the candidates have applied for both positions.

A fatal crash near Island Park left a man and a woman dead on Sunday afternoon on U.S. Highway 20 near milepost 391.1.Cain Israel Cortes, 49, and G. Palomares Garcia, 49, both of Belgrade, Montana, were driving east on U.S. 20 in a GMC Sierra pickup truck when it crossed into the westbound lane and collided with a semitractor-trailer. A 53-year-old Blackfoot man was the semi's driver. Fremont County Coroner Brenda Day said Cortes and Garcia were from Mexico and residing in Belgrade.
