BLACKFOOT — A local archery club is inviting the community to an upcoming event this weekend in hopes that people will have an enjoyable time and know what the club has to offer. Blackfoot River Bowmen, an archery club and range at 365 Archery Range Road in Rose, will host the “Bob Tieken Spring Fling Shoot” on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. “This shoot is just a for-fun shoot. IDAHO FALLS — A local family is sharing good news after they say their two-year-old daughter completed chemotherapy and had surgery to remove a tumor. Amanda and Steven Cook live in Idaho Falls with their children Lily, 2, and Jack, 6. Lily went through a 12-hour surgery last week at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center that was performed by Dr. William Hammond. “She is so brave. She’s been a really good patient through it all,” said Amanda. “Right after her surgery, she was turning and moving.
