    UPDATE:MATTHEWS, NC – A man wanted for kidnapping a woman in Matthews has been arrested and is being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail. Police arrested 23-year-old Logan Calaway on Wednesday. He is charged with second degree kidnapping, assault by strangulation and misdemeanor stalking. According to court documents, Calaway is accused of kidnapping the woman on Monday after repeatedly stalking her at her workplace.

    Toddler shot by unsecured gun in Charlotte apartment CHARLOTTE, NC – A 2-year-old boy has serious injuries after he was shot with an unsecured gun. According to a police report, the shooting happened at an apartment complex on Paces Oaks Boulevard just after 10 p.m. on Sunday. The report says that inside the apartment police found 469.8 grams of marijuana in a bookbag, a digital scale, multiple empty mylar baggies and letters inside the bookbag.

    MATTHEWS, NC – Police are trying to find a man wanted for kidnapping a woman in Matthews on Monday. Witnesses told Matthews Police that a man forced a woman into a dark-colored BMW  around 11:21 a.m., and sped away from the 1400 block of Matthews Mint Hill Road. Police found the woman just after 2 p.m. on Monday. Officers say the suspected kidnapper is 23-year Logan Calaway, of Charlotte. Police say Calaway and the woman knew each other. He’s 5’9″, with short curly brown hair and brown eyes.

    ROCK HILL, SC – An argument between two people ended with a man in the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to his hip, police say. The 41-year-old shooting victim walked into a local hospital around 5:30 Sunday morning. The man told officers the shooting happened at a home on Simpson Street after an argument with 54-year-old Ron McClurkin. Officers went to the home on Simpson Street and say McClurkin and another man were inside.

    One person hurt after house fire in south Charlotte on Friday. CHARLOTTE, NC – One person is being treated for serious injuries after a fire in south Charlotte. Charlotte Fire says they were called to a home on Sharonbrook Drive just after noon on Friday. When crews arrived they say smoke was coming from the house. The Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force is working to determine the cause of the fire.
