Jason Aldean hit No. 1 over the weekend during Morgan’s performance at Spirit Mountain Casino on Sunday. Let’s admit we all love music, and agree it helps us all in so many different ways. I want to take a moment to talk about the healing power of music. I imagine for a lot of you that phrase strikes a real chord, from experiences you’ve had personally. Where music has transformed a difficult day, or moment, or got you through a challenging time. I was recently introduced to a nonprofit that’s been leading the country in bringing that healing power directly to the bedsides of hospital patients.

In this crazy world we live in these days, it’s amazing to see others helping others, neighbors checking on family and friends to make sure they are ok. Thanks To our media partners at KGW for the list of Cooling Centers around the area to help you stay cool. KGW has issued Weather Alert Impact Days for Thursday through Monday, and KGW Chief Meteorologist Matt Zaffino said he expects this to be a long-duration heat wave. Temperatures will reach or exceed 100 degrees for five straight days. Night-time temperatures in the upper 60s over the weekend and Monday morning may also set records for the warmest overnight lows.
