It’s nice to have a backup quarterback. For the Dallas Cowboys, we won’t know if they fall into that category or not until we get a good glimpse of second-year player Joe Milton III. In April, the Cowboys traded a fifth-round pick to acquire Milton from the Patriots. Dallas also got a seventh-round pick in return. After being taken in the sixth round in the 2024 draft, Milton played one game for New England last year.

The Dallas Cowboys are a good football team with a talented roster, but as we have learned over the last several years, good has not been good enough. And with the two teams representing the NFC in the conference championship game both coming from their division, things aren’t getting any easier for them. The Cowboys must get better. Recently, we discussed the idea that the Cowboys should consider spending a little more to retain their talent.

There are several reasons to be optimistic about the upcoming season of the Dallas Cowboys, and many of them stem from the changes within the coaching staff. There’s already a lot of excitement building up around new head coach Brian Schottenheimer. And the same is also true for both of the team’s new coordinators, Matt Eberflus and Klayton Adams. But not all changes carry the same level of enthusiasm.

The Cowboys' win total is set at 7.5 games sandwiched between the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers, two teams that haven’t had a winning season since 2017.

It is unsettling how well the Eagles have done in the draft in recent years. They haven't been good at this in the past, but they have improved. https://t.co/zdqZJanfcq

People who constantly whine about contract stuff are typically the ones who understand them the least. Never with any knowledge of what's going on behind the scenes, but quick to spread gossip just to stir things up. They are the real drama llamas.
