1 Introduction Fluorene fragment, an important class of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, featuring unique optical properties and biological activities on account of its special rigid biphenyl structure and large conjugated system,[1, 2] is ubiquitous applicable in functional materials and medicinal chemistry.[3-8] Given the important influence of fluorene skeleton, the exploration of its asymmetric variants, to which has been devoted much efforts, continue to meet with limited success.
