The southbound lane of North Brooke Street will be closed between West Arndt and West Follett streets. The closure will begin at 6 a.m. on April 22 and last until 3 p.m. on April 29 for concrete pavement restoration. Residents will retain property access, but other drivers should seek alternate routes. No official detour will be posted. Seven occupants of a Fond du Lac duplex were displaced after an early morning fire. The fire, which occurred on April 18, caused significant damage to the second floor and attic. No injuries were reported, and the Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
