Unofficial results in Tuesday’s Wisconsin general election are showing voters in Superior’s 2nd council district have chosen Jenny Anderson overincumbent Jenny Van Sickle. The 2nd district race is one of two contested races out of five on the ballot. Sarah Anderson’s public bio says she is 48-years old and has lived in Superior since 2007.

Central Lakes garage fire sends one person to hospital

One person was transported to the hospital Tuesday night for smoke inhalation resulting from a fire in the Central Lakes area south of Eveleth. The St. Louis County Sheriff’s office tells us the structure was a larger Morton-building type of garage. The building and all it’s contents were a total loss. It is believed that the fire started as a result of gasoline accidently being ignited while a wood stove was being lit.
