    It’s Day 2 of the Giants’ three-day private quarterback workout tour. Their contingent — led by hot-seat general manager Joe Schoen — spent Thursday in Colorado with Shedeur Sanders, who they could take with the third pick next Thursday in the 2025 NFL Draft. (Or maybe not.) On Friday, Schoen and Co. will be in Alabama to work out Jalen Milroe. Then it’s off to Louisville for a Saturday session with Tyler Shough. The Giants previously conducted a private workout for Jaxson Dart.

    It’s not a lock that Travis Hunter — Colorado’s dynamic wide receiver/cornerback — will be there for the Giants at No. 3 next Thursday in the 2025 NFL Draft. But if he is, Joe Schoen — the Giants’ hot-seat fourth-year general manager — has no reservations about playing him on offense and defense. Schoen made that clear Wednesday during his pre-draft press conference, during which he raved about Hunter. “Travis is a unique individual,” Schoen said.

    Cam Ward surely will go first overall to the Titans in this year’s NFL Draft, which begins next Thursday night. So that’s one quarterback off the board for the quarterback-needy Giants, who pick third. Another, Shedeur Sanders, could go second to the Browns. Or the Giants might decide to pass on Sanders in favor of edge rusher Abdul Carter or wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter. If that happens, the Giants absolutely could trade up from No. 34 (in Round 2) for Sanders, if he falls.

The latest development: The Giants on Thursday will put Sanders through a private workout in Boulder. On April 4, they sent a large contingent — including coach Brian Daboll — there to watch Sanders’ pro day.
