Stockport County defender Sam Hughes is currently in talks regarding a permanent switch to fellow League One side Peterborough United, ahead of the 2025/26 season. The 28-year-old is currently on loan at Darren Ferguson’s side after making the switch in January following a horror start to the 2024/25 campaign from Peterborough as a whole. Since his arrival, the side as a whole have improved their fortunes and transformed their campaign for the better.
